AppLink Properties Page
Use this page to change the details of a selected AppLink.

You can set the following on this page, then click the Save button to save the changes:

Name and Status:
You can change:
- Status: Active AppLinks can be viewed. Inactive AppLinks can not be accessed by the recipient(s).
- URL: The AppLink URL can be viewed and copied to the system clipboard using the Control-C or Command-C keyboard commands.
Access Permissions
This section allows you to restrict access to the document:
- Full or Restricted Permission: Full Permission allows the recipient to open the file, print it, or download it to his/her computer. Restricted permission allows you to disable opening, printing, and/or downloading the file by the recipient.
- Require Password: If checked, this requires the recipient to enter a password of your choice to access the document. Check the checkbox and enter the desired password.
Modify Permissions
Checking "Allow recipient to modify this document" allows the recipient to modify the document and return the changes to you:
- Copy Modified Document: When the recipient completes his or her modifications to the document, the modified document will be placed in your account in a folder named "AppLink (returned)" directly below the original document.
- Overwrite Original Document: The modified document will overwrite the original document stored in your account. The original document will be lost.
- Enable "Track Changes":The recipient's changes to the document will be automatically highlighted in the modified document returned to the sender. This feature is only available for applications that support the "Track Changes" functionality, for example Microsoft Word.
Number of Accesses:
Checking "Unlimited" allows an unlimited number of "hits", or accesses. Checking "Limited to this number" limits the total number of "hits" to the number entered in the field.
Access Duration
The AppLink can have Unlimited duration, or you can set a date range. Set the month, day and year for the AppLink to begin and end.
Email Notification of Access
If the Yes option is checked, you will receive an email notification when the recipient opens the AppLink. You can also include comments or reminders that will be returned to you with the email notification.
Recipient's Web Page
These options define what appears on the page the recipient sees on opening the AppLink. Check the checkboxes in this section to display:
- Document Details: File name and size
- Sender's Name
- Sender's Email
- Comments
Recipient Identification
This section allows you to require the recipient to enter identifying information:
- Require Name: This option requires the recipient to enter his or her name. Note that there is no method for the system to verify that the correct name is entered.
- Require Email Address: This option requires the recipient to enter his or her email address. Note that there is no method for the system to verify that the correct email address is entered.
