- Decreasing e-mail storage requirements. Perimeter stores only a single instance of each e-mail attachment in a single location, making it available to all authorized recipients from centralized storage.
- Containing viruses and malicious code. Perimeter prevents the proliferation of viruses to your desktops and address books, by removing attachments from the e-mail before they reach your network. Documents can also be quarantined from the desktop for a defined period of time.
- Reducing bandwidth requirements. Perimeter eliminates file size and download limitations with your ISP or on your company server, by linking the recipient to the document via a Web browser.
- Solving software compatibility and access issues. Perimeter delivers a fully functional version of the document opened in its parent application running remotely from your server via a Web browser.
- Improving e-mail server performance. Perimeter decreases the load on your e-mail servers by removing and storing cumbersome attachments before they reach the intended recipient.
Perimeter works with your existing e-mail server, is independent of all platforms and programs, and does not require the end-user to undertake a specialized setup process. Internet access and a java-enabled Web browser are the only desktop requirements.
